Core Team
How can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?
Romans 10:14
What does “Core Team” do?
Core Team members make youth group possible. By committing to assist at Youth Group each week, they help the teens grow in their faith by leading small groups, helping with activities, facilitating games, and by witnessing to their own faith journey.
Each Core Team member contributes their unique skills, background, and life experiences to assist the Youth Minister in creating a comprehensive Youth Program
Frequently asked questions about Core Team
Do I need special skills?
No. Training will be provided. All you need is love for God and a desire to help teens.
How many nights a week will I need to be involved?
One. All planning will take place before or after the scheduled youth night. The only other commitments are training in the fall and a retreat in the spring.
How many Core Team Members are needed?
One core member for every seven teens; the more teens we get, the more Core members we need.
Do I have to be a parent to be on Core?
No. Ideally, a Core Team is a diverse group with individuals of different ages and backgrounds.
I don’t have time. Can some one else do this?
In today’s world, everyone is truly busy. Making a commitment to one night a week is a very real sacrifice—one that some simply cannot make.
I ask that you spend sometime in prayer to see if God is calling you to this ministry. If He is not, please consider contributing to the Youth programs in some other way.
